Bevan Tulett enjoyed a spell as a racing car and jet boat enthusiast however his life changed forever when he became a member of the Christchurch Photographic Society. Over the years Bevan has won many photographic awards including the Gold Medal, Open Champion PSNZ (twice) and the Champion New Zealand landscape PSNZ (twice).
Bevan has experimented with most types of photography – landscape, portrait, photojournalism, natural history and wedding however it is landscape work that remains his favourite. He considers landscapes to be the most demanding art form and his greatest joy is ‘the chase ’ followed, of course, by the fine tuning to capture the best possible composition. Bevan’s natural history images are also outstanding, clearly a product of patient, dedicated work.
Bevan and his wife Marylyn (also a superb photographer) currently live in a caravan and are reveling in being able to travel around New Zealand chasing light and landscape.
