Leading suppliers of images to the tourism industry since 1984, the Hedgehog House archive holds a digitalized collection of early New Zealand brochures, pamphlets, posters and adverts that once helped to promote tourism to New Zealand. Artwork, hand-tinted and monochrome images dating from 1894 to 1965 illustrate many aspects of the North Island of New Zealand that attracted foreign visitors: trout fishing, big game fishing, hunting, deer stalking, mountaineering, motoring, hotels, national parks, tramping, thermal regions, Maori culture, yachting, Chateau Tongariro, Ngauruhoe, Ruapehu, Mt Egmont, Taranaki and Rotorua.
