Leading suppliers of images for the tourism industry since 1984, the Hedgehog House archive holds a digitalized collection of early New Zealand brochures, pamphlets, posters and adverts that once helped to promote tourism to New Zealand's South Island. Artwork, hand-tinted and monochrome images from 1894 to 1965 illustrate many aspects of New Zealand that attracted foreign visitors: trout fishing, hunting, deer stalking, mountaineering, motoring, hotels, national parks, tramping, Maori culture, yachting, Milford Track, Mitre Peak, Fox and Franz Josef glaciers, The Hermitage (Mt Cook), Wanaka, Queenstown and the Southern Lakes.
