A diverse array of marine fish live in the seas around New Zealand. Hedgehog House photographers include keen divers who have recorded many of the colourful species found off the coast. Whitebaiters scoop nets at the waters edge, and at sea trawlers seek a big haul. In the lakes and rivers, introduced salmon and trout challenge fishermen, many of them tourists.
