Hedgehog House is a specialised photo library based in Christchurch, New Zealand. We have a small dedicated team who are passionate about their work, thereby ensuring our customers receive efficient, personal service.

Hedgehog House has an extensive collection of high quality images taken by some of New Zealand's best photographers. We also represent a selection of overseas photographers and affiliated libaries .

Hedgehog House staff enjoy becoming involved in your projects and can undertake image searches on your behalf, creating "lightboxes" on our website for review. There is also an extensive off-line collection of images that can be accessed by our staff.

Writing Service

Hedgehog House also offers a unique personalized writing service. By utilising an extensive reference book collection on natural history, the polar and mountain regions and exploration, writing projects for clients can be undertaken.
Colin has an extensive background in writing copy for brochures, magazines and chapters of books.

	Colin Monteath Colin founded Hedgehog House in 1983. He is a polar and mountain photographer, writer and public speaker.  colin@hedgehoghouse.com		Betty Monteath     Betty is a keen mountain trekker who has shared many overseas journeys with Colin as well as expeditions to Antarctica.
